Slavkov

Brewing at the Slavkov (Austerlitz) Brewery returned after nearly 100 years in 2012 at the same historical premises of the former brewery, despite only the chimney of the original malthouse remaining. The present brewery features a restaurant and growers’ distillery where people can transform their fruit into a very pleasant product.

However, the quality of local craft beer soon brought regional fame to the brewery that runs at the its full capacity and is looking at expanding.

If visiting the brewery, It is worth mentioning the so called Austerlitz Battle of the Three Emperors which was one of the most important and decisive engagements of the Napoleonic Wars. It is widely regarded as the greatest victory ever achieved by Napoleon.

Our Slavkov 10° is definitely not a classic piece of industrial draft beer. We are instead brewing the truly respected typical Czech “light 10°”, a beer characterised with a lighter colour with snow-rich foam.  Slavkov 10° will pleasantly surprise the beer lover with its gentleness, balance, and unexpectedly full body.

A classic representative of a typical Czech lager, brewed by traditional double mashing method. Gold colour with white creamy, dense foam, SAAZ hops, goes hand in hand with excellent full body of the beer, featuring a very pleasant bitterness. When it comes to matching our 12°Slavkov with traditional Czech cuisine, we believe this product should be the brew of choice.

“Chancellor” as we called our 13° beer is dark, slow-fermented beer, made from four different malts. It also enjoys double mashing and long maturation to make it perfect. The Chancellor is loved by chefs who match it to their gourmet cuisine.

In addition to the main production line, Slavkov Brewery also boldly ventures into top fermented. Ales, Belgie, Kolsch are a good example. All these have an excellent quality, taste and definitely something special.
